Decatur Co. Fair Report for Thursday, July 10, 2025

The 2025 Decatur County 4-H Fair opens today, launching a week packed with livestock shows, local talent, and family fun through July 16.

What’s Happening Today:

9 a.m. – The action starts early with the 4-H Poultry Show in the Poultry Barn.

10 a.m. – Dairy goats take the spotlight in the Livestock Pavilion, followed by the Boer, Meat, and Pygmy Goat Shows.

Evening Highlights at the Farm and Home Building Stage:

5:30 p.m. – Certificate of Distinction Presentation

6 p.m. – Crowning of the 2025 4-H Royalty and introduction of Miss Decatur County and her court

6:30 p.m. – Public Speaking and Verbal Communications Contest

At 7 p.m., 10-year 4-H members will be honored with a special dinner in the Large Shelter at the park.

Midway Alert:
The midway opens at 6 p.m. with Thrifty Thursday deals—every ride just one ticket!

Tonight’s Grandstand Event:
Get ready for high-speed thrills at the Wolfe Bros. ATV Drags.

Gates open at 3:30 p.m.

Event begins at 7 p.m.

Admission: $10

Pit Passes: $20

Kids 5 and under: Free
