(Lexington, OH) – Alex Palou appeared to have another IndyCar win this season in his grasp at Mid-Ohio on Sunday.
However, a late race mistake where he lost control of his car cost him that win.
That opened the door for his teammate Scott Dixon, who enacted a bold two-stop pit strategy to put him self in position for the win.
Palou still came home in second place.
It’s Dixon’s 59th career win in IndyCar. He remains second all-time in career wins in the series.
