The New York Yankees beat the Reds 7-1 last night at Great American Ball Park in a game heard on WRBI. The loss snaps the Reds three-game winning streak but they took two out of three games from the Bronx Bombers. The Reds are off today before starting a three-game series at home against Batesville native Bryan Hoeing and the San Diego Padres tomorrow night. We’ll have all three games over the weekend on 103.9 FM.

The Reds yesterday recalled OF/INF Ryan Vilade from Triple-A Louisville; placed OF/INF Connor Joe on the 10-day IL, retroactive to Sunday (hand, foot and mouth disease); and transferred the rehab assignment of INF Noelvi Marte (left oblique strain) to Double-A Chattanooga.

The NBA draft got underway last night. Duke’s Cooper Flagg was taken with the first overall pick by the Dallas Mavericks. The Indiana Pacers did not have a first round pick. They’ll be on the clock tonight in the second round with the 54th overall pick.

The Indiana Fever have waived forward DeWanna Bonner and signed Aari McDonald for the remainder of the season. The Fever are 7-7 heading into tonight’s matchup in downtown Indianapolis against the 4-11 Los Angeles Sparks.
