Lyda K. (Willis) Morgan, 81, of Kentucky, formerly of Moores Hill, passed away Tuesday, June 24, 2025, at her home with her loving family by her side. Lyda was born on Wednesday, May 24, 1944, in Berea, Kentucky; daughter of Elmer and Grace (Wilder) Willis. Lyda married Joe Morgan on December 16, 1978, and he preceded her in death on July 7, 2016. Lyda was a member of the Blue Lick Baptist Church in Kentucky. She worked in the dresser industry for 30+ years working in the factory. She enjoyed going fishing, tending to her flowers, and going thrift shopping. Lyda most of all cherished her family.
Lyda will be missed by her sons Jeff (Sherry) Burton of Moores Hill, Robin (Patches) Burton of Moores Hill, Brian (Jennifer) Morgan of Utica, KY, and Joey Morgan of Berea, KY; daughters Teresa Burton of Milan and Renee (Tim) Tate of Richmond, KY; brother Wayne (Faye) Willis of Walton, KY; sister Peggy Powell of Berea, KY; special granddaughter Angela; grandchildren Andrea, Kayla, Mackenzie, Samantha, Jeffery, Jordan, Jacob, Brandon, Casey, Andy, Whitney, Ethan, Brittany, Haley, Courtney, Wyatt, and Gracie; 14 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great-grandchild.
Lyda was preceded in death by her parents Elmer and Grace Willis; husband Joe Morgan; brothers Donald and Ronnie Willis; and sister Betty Anglin.
Family and friends may gather in remembering Lyda from 9:00-11:00 AM, Monday, June 30, 2025, at the Sibbett-Moore Funeral Home in Moores Hill. Services will immediately follow at 11:00 AM. Burial will follow at Forest Hill Cemetery. Memorials may be given in honor of Lyda to the family.
