Cynthia “Toni” Elaine Duncan, lovingly known by her Native American name Whistling Bird, of Metamora, was born on September 5, 1958. Loving daughter of Kenneth and Joetta Scott. She married Robin Duncan on September 4, 1976, in Indianapolis and together they raised 3 wonderful children. A skilled and hardworking seamstress, Toni specialized in automotive interiors — a craft that combined her precision, creativity, and love of working with her hands. Her talent and attention to detail were well known and widely respected. Outside of her work, she enjoyed hunting and fishing, crafting — especially Native America crafts inspired by her heritage, and most of all, spending time with her cherished grandkids and family. In addition to her loyal German Shepherds, Toni also had a special love for all animals, including her turkeys and racoons. On Wednesday, June 18, 2025, at the age of 66, Toni passed away peacefully at Reid Health in Richmond, Indiana.

Toni’s legacy will live on through her husband, Rob Duncan; three children, Chadwick (Cheryl) Duncan, Jestina Elaine (Chris) Geiling, and Tyetta Duncan; nine grandchildren, Lakota, Tami, Levi, Aubrey, Seth, Briana, Ella, Waylon, and Wesley; three great-grandchildren, Lydia, Chadwick (CJ), and Lucas; three brothers, Timothy, Eddie, and Billy Jack; two sisters, Dawn and Bobby Joe; one stepbrother, Robert; as well as her best friend Patty King. Toni was preceded in death by both of her parents, Kenneth and Joetta Scott.
