Busy Weekend for Franklin Co. Rescuers

(Franklin County, IN) – First responders in Franklin County were kept busy over the weekend.

One person was flown to the hospital after being pinned between a tractor and a tree on Wilderness Drive around 11:40 Sunday morning. Oldenburg and Metamora firefighters and Batesville EMS responded.

Franklin County Sheriff’s deputies are investigating a motorcycle crash with injuries on the 23,000 block of U.S 52 near Laurel just before 5 p.m. Sunday. Scanner traffic indicated the person was up and walking around and was checked out by Letts EMS.

Crews from several agencies were dispatched to a trailer park in the New Trenton area just before 2:00 Sunday afternoon for a report of a missing three-year-old. The child was located a short time later. No other details have been released.
