The Cardinals beat the Reds 6-1 in St. Louis in a game heard last night on WRBI. St. Louis scored a run in the 3rd inning before erupting for five off the Reds bullpen in the bottom of the 7th. The Reds only run came in the top of the 8th inning. Brady Singer was tagged with the loss despite giving up a run on four hits while striking out seven over six innings of work. The middle game of the series is this afternoon. The Reds made a flurry of roster moves on Friday. Pitcher Wade Miley was placed on the 15-day injured list with a left flexor strain, retroactive to Tuesday. The team recalled right-hander Connor Phillips from Triple-A Louisville. The club added right-hander Chase Petty to the taxi squad, and sent infielder Noelvi Marte on a rehab assignment to the Arizona Complex League Reds. He’s been dealing with a left oblique strain. Marte will spend the weekend there and is expected to join Louisville in St. Paul on Tuesday.

The Indiana Pacers visit the Oklahoma City Thunder in the winner-take-all Game Seven of the NBA Finals tomorrow night. If the Pacers win, it would be their first NBA championship. The franchise won three ABA titles in the early ’70s. Coverage tomorrow night on the Sports Voice begins at 7:30.

IndyCar is in Wisconsin tomorrow for the Grand Prix of Road America race. Will Power is the defending champ. They’ll drop the green flag at 1:30 tomorrow afternoon.
