(Osgood, IN) – Close to 2,000 Southeastern Indiana REMC customers were left without power.
The bulk of the outages are in Jennings County, Madison, and Jefferson County.
There are also customers in the dark in the Moores Hill, Dillsboro and Aurora areas.
An estimated 1,898 of the electric co-op’s 28,845 total customers are affected as of Tuesday morning.
“We are aware of multiple outages across our service territory at this time. Our crews are actively working to restore power as quickly and safely as possible. Thank you for your patience and understanding as we work to bring everyone back online,” Southeastern Indiana REMC said in a statement.
