(Metamora, IN) – No one was injured in a house fire on U.S. 52 in Metamora Friday afternoon.
The Metamora Volunteer Fire Department received the call around 2:44 pm, and crews quickly brought the flames under control.
Officials say a fast and effective interior attack contained the fire before it could spread.
U.S. 52 in Metamora was closed for about an hour during firefighting efforts and the cleanup afterward.
Metamora received mutual aid from the Brookville Volunteer Fire Department. Also providing assistance were Letts EMS-Franklin County Paramedics, the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office and Franklin County E 9-1-1.
