Marilyn A. Hoeing, 65

Marilyn A. Hoeing, 65, of Greensburg, passed away on June 3, 2025. She was born on June 1, 1960, in Greensburg, the daughter of Richard and Mildred (Meyer) Nobbe. Marilyn was a 1978 graduate of Greensburg High School. She married Randall Hoeing on April 25, 1987, and together they had two children, Aaron and Stephanie. Marilyn worked at American Lifts, St. Mary’s Catholic School, and Greensburg Elementary School. She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church and participated in SMAFA, Faith Formation, the Church Picnic, and the Chili Supper. She also served as everyone’s favorite Stop Drop & Roll rapper, “Edith”. Marilyn spent her free time baking, crocheting, playing board/card games, and being a Grandma (her favorite title) to her three grandchildren, Charlotte, Bode, and Parker.

Survivors include: Husband, Randy Hoeing; Son, Aaron (Amanda) Hoeing; Daughter, Stephanie (Keith) Wimsatt; Grandchildren, Charlotte Wimsatt, Parker Wimsatt, and Bode Hoeing; Siblings, Rick (Kay) Nobbe, Steve (Teresa) Nobbe, and Robert (Pam) Nobbe; Sisters-In-Laws, Diane (John) Wenning, Lynn (Joseph) Herbert, Deborah (Greg) Navarra, and Jennifer Nobbe; and several Nieces and Nephews. She was preceded in death by her Parents and Brother, Brian Nobbe.

A rosary will be prayed at Gilliland-Howe Funeral Home on Monday, June 9, 2025 at 3:00 pm followed by a reception styled gathering for friends and family from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm. She wants her friends and family to come and share stories with each other. Mass will be held at the St. Mary’s Catholic Church on Tuesday, June 10, 2025 at 11:00 am with visitation one hour prior. The Mass will be broadcast live on the Gilliland-Howe Facebook Page. Father Bill Ehalt will be officiating. Burial will follow at the St. Mary’s Cemetery.
