Franklin Co. GOP to Caucus Next Month

(Franklin County, IN) – The Franklin County Republican Party has scheduled a caucus for Saturday, June 7 at 8:30 a.m. at the courthouse in Brookville.

The caucus is being held to fill the vacancy created by Mary Strong’s resignation as County Councilmember in District 1.

Interested candidates must file a CEB-5 with GOP County Chair Neysa Raible no later than 72 hours before the caucus.

Candidates must live in District 1, which is made up of Blooming Grove, Fairfield, Laurel, Metamora and Posey townships, plus Salt Creek 1 and 2.

Only County Council District 1 committee members in these townships are eligible to vote.

Whoever is elected will serve the remainder of the term that expires on December 31, 2026.
