Holton Woman Flown From ORV vs. Pickup Crash

(Ripley County, IN) – A Holton woman was flown to the hospital following a collision involving an off road vehicle and a pickup truck on the 3,000 block of North Old Michigan Road around 10:30 Saturday night.

Ripley County Sheriff Rob Bradley says it is believed a Polaris Ranger, operated by 49-year-old Brandi Eaton, was southbound on Old Michigan Road when the vehicle collided nearly head-on with a Chevrolet Silverado driven by 32-year-old Kenneth Geisler of Madison.

Both vehicles ended up in a ditch.

Eaton had to be extricated from the off road vehicle and was flown to UC Medical Center in Cincinnati. Investigators say they don’t know her condition.

Geisler was not injured.

The road was closed for about three-and-a-half hours during the investigation and cleanup.

Bradley says alcohol is believed to be a contributing factor in the crash, which remains under investigation.

Deputies were assisted at the scene by Ripley County EMS, the Osgood and Napoleon fire departments, Indiana Department of Natural Resources, and PHI Air Medical.
