Geraldine Dolores “Gerrie” (Greiner) Driggers, 79, of Milan passed away Thursday, May 15, 2025, at Christ Hospital with her loving family by her side. Gerrie was born on Tuesday, January 22, 1946, in Cincinnati; daughter of Robert and Dolores (Vogelsang) Greiner. Gerrie was a homemaker and was very involved and dedicated to her community and church. Gerrie married the love of her life, John Driggers, on February 20, 1965, and he precede her in death on June 27, 2007. She was a member of the St. Charles Catholic Church, St. Charles Catholic Church Ladies Society, St. Charles Catholic Church Bereavement Committee, Milan Lions Club, and Milan Food Pantry. She loved to go to her grandchildren’s sporting events and watch the Cincinnati Bengals and Cincinnati Reds. Gerrie loved to call her friends and family often and speak with them. Gerrie cherished volunteering her time and being available to help others as well as contributing to many charities.
Gerrie will be missed by her daughters Christy Fields of Weatherford, Texas, Carol (Thomas) Teger of Villa Park, California, Cathy Cutter of Sunman, Casey Driggers of Milan, and Carey Driggers of Milan; brother Bobby Lee Henry of Chicago; special friends Chet Fields of Weatherford, Texas and Eric Cutter of Friendship; her dog Princess; grandchildren David, Amber, Bobby, Ryann, Emma, Carley, Adelynn, and Chloe; and 10 great-grandchildren.
Gerrie was preceded in death by her parents Robert and Dolores Greiner; husband John Driggers Jr.; sister Bobbie Schultz; granddaughter Kinley D. Benham; and nephew Mike Driggers.
Family and friends may gather in remembering Gerrie from 5:00-8:00 PM, Sunday, May 18, 2025, at the Laws-Carr-Moore Funeral Home in Milan. A rosary service will be held at 4:45 PM, with Father Frank Eckstein. Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 10:00 AM, Monday, May 19, 2025, at St. Charles Catholic Church: 213 W Ripley St., Milan, IN 47031, with Father Shaun Whittington officiating. Burial will follow at St. Charles Catholic Cemetery. Memorials may be given in honor of Gerrie to St. Joseph’s Home of Cincinnati.
