Sandra Kay Ley, 80, of Indianapolis passed away at 6:50 a.m., Thursday, May 15, 2025 at Westminster Village in Indianapolis. She was born in Batesville on November 27, 1944, the daughter of Clarence and Wilma Harrell Wagner. Survivors include one son Stephen (Rhonda) Ley of Saratoga Springs, Utah; one daughter Christine (Craig) Gibson of Indianapolis; four grandchildren Joshua and Christopher Ley, and Madeline and Luke Gibson; two sisters Valerie (Jim) Thomas of Madison and Denise (Jeff) Wertenberger of Huntington. She was preceded in death by her parents. Mrs. Ley grew up south of New Marion and was a 1962 graduate of New Marion High School. She loved growing up on her parent’s farm and assisting her dad with the farming operation. She had worked in various secretarial positions and retired as a scheduler and dispatcher for Comcast in Indianapolis. Sandra was a member of the Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Indianapolis. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, May 22 at 11 a.m. at the Holy Spirit Catholic Church at 7243 E 10th Street in Indianapolis. Visitation will also be on Thursday at the church beginning at 10 a.m. Graveside services will be at 3:30 p.m. Thursday at the St. Magdlene Cemetery in Madison.
