Mr. Robert Earl “Bob” Chase

Mr. Robert Earl “Bob” Chase, age 65 years, of Vevay, Indiana, passed away at his home on Wednesday, May 7, 2025 in Vevay, Indiana. Born on October 25, 1959 in Dearborn County, Indiana, he was one of twelve children born to Paul Edwin and Kathleen Janette (Bladen) Chase. Bob was a hardworking man who dedicated his life to farming, raising beef cattle and chickens with pride and perseverance. He also worked as a heavy equipment operator for Union Local #181 of Louisville, Kentucky for several years, applying his skill and determination to every job he undertook. He was raised in Switzerland County, Indiana where he attended school and built a life deeply rooted in the land he loved. Beyond his work, Bob found joy in the simple pleasures of life. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing and golfing. He could often be found tending to his farm or relaxing and watching a good western movie. Bob will be remembered for his unwavering work ethic, his love for the land, and his deep appreciation for the quiet beauty of country life. His presence will be greatly missed by his family.

Bob will be missed by his daughter, Angel Vinup and her husband, Dennis of Greendale, IN; his son, Shane Chase and his wife, Olivia of Greendale, IN; his grandchildren, Kennedy Yacchari and her husband, Mark, Noah Vinup and his wife, Olivia, Colton Vinup and his companion, Hailie Jump, Chauntel Inman and her husband, Jordan, Cheyenne Vinup and her companion, Damion Kohler, Layne Chase, and Ellie Chase; his great-grandchildren, Adeline Vinup, and Emmett Yacchari; his sisters, Mary Weber of Aurora, IN, and Ella Chase of Rising Sun, IN; his brothers, Raymond Chase of Rising Sun, IN, and Donald Chase and his wife, Suzie of Aurora, IN and his several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, Paul Edwin Chase, died July 19, 1976; his mother, Kathleen Janette (Bladen) Chase, died November 26, 1965; his brothers, Claude, Paul, William, Jerald, and Ernie Chase; and his sisters, Laura Ann Chase, and Karen Sue Chase.

In accordance with Bob’s wishes, he will be cremated and a celebration of life will be held at the convenience of the family.
