(Franklin County, IN) – The Franklin County Sheriff’s Office has released its year-to-date activity report.
Sheriff Pete Cates says, as of Tuesday, his agency has handled more than 2,800 calls for service so far in 2025.
Deputies have investigated one fatal accident, 41 injury crashes and 132 property damage wrecks.
They’ve also looked into 38 burglary and theft cases along with 53 batteries and domestic battery cases.
There have been six K9 deployments so far this year.
Sheriff Cates says the average daily population in the Franklin County Security Center is 32 inmates.
The Franklin County Sheriff’s Office is staffed by 15 full-time deputies, three reserve deputies, and two civil process/transport officers.
