Joyce Marie Meixner, 88 of Westport

Joyce Marie Meixner, 88, of Westport, passed away at 4:59 PM on Thursday, April 24, 2025, at her residence. She was born on September 21, 1936 in Milton, Kentucky, the daughter of James Robert and Docia (Singer) Duncan. She was raised in Milton, Kentucky and had lived in Bartholomew County. She was a member of Milton Methodist Church. She enjoyed cooking, needlepoint, gardening, and artwork. She was a big fan of Bob Ross. Joyce married Marshall A. Meixner on October 29, 1955, in Milton, Kentucky. He preceded her in death on August 11, 2016. She is survived by her son, Marshall Allen (Rose) Meixner, II of Westport and two grandchildren, Matthew Meixner of Westport and Jessica Meixner of Garden Grove, California; two nieces, Christy (John) Lange of Casselberry, Florida and Amy Duncan of North Carolina; a nephew, Jim (Peggy) Duncan of Charlestown. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Marshall and her brother, Robert Duncan. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM on Monday, May 5, 2025, at Bass & Gasper Funeral Home in Westport. Burial will follow at Westport Cemetery. A time of visitation will be held on Monday, May 5 from 12:00 PM until time of service at 2:00 PM at the funeral home.
