(Greensburg, IN) – At Decatur County Memorial Hospital, caring for others goes beyond hospital walls—and straight to the heart.
Yesterday, a few feathered friends found themselves in need of emergency help.
Twelve baby ducklings had fallen into a storm drain outside DCMH’s Emergency Department.
In a heartwarming team effort, members of the DCMH Emergency Department, DCMH Maintenance Team, and the Greensburg Fire Department sprang into action.
With gentle hands and determined hearts, the crew carefully rescued each duckling and reunited all 12 with their anxious mother.
The moment was a small but powerful reminder: in Decatur County, Indiana, compassion runs deep—extending far beyond patient care and into everyday acts of kindness.
Decatur County Memorial Hospital is proud to serve the community and honored to work alongside dedicated partners who show up for others—human or not—every single day.
