Anna Laura (Lunsford) Snelling, 85, of Aurora passed away Tuesday, April 22, 2025, at her home with her loving family by her side. Anna was born on Monday, August 21, 1939, in Burning Springs, Kentucky; daughter of Elisha and Daisie May (Jewel) Lunsford. Anna married the love of her life, Eugene “Gene” Snelling, on October 26, 1956, and he survives her. She was a member of Holmes Hill Church of Christ where she was a very active member in several groups. She loved cooking, reading, and decorating houses. She also enjoyed going camping and traveling with her family. Most of all Anna cherished spending time with her family.
Anna will be missed by her husband of 68 years, Gene Snelling of Aurora; sons Douglas Snelling of Holton, Aaron (Meg) Snelling of Milton, Kentucky, and Anthony Snellng of Holton; daughters Pamela Woolums of Moores Hill, Carrie (Doug) Reid of Milan, Lisa Bowlin of Cincinnati, and Gina (Thomas) Linder of Aurora; brother Glenn (Kathy) Lunsford of Florida; sister Virgie Ritchie of Milan; 17 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great grandchild.
Anna was preceded in death by her parents Elisha and Daisie May Lunsford, several siblings, granddaughter Desirae Snelling; and great-granddaughter Destiny Snelling.
Family and friends may gather in remembering Anna from 10:00 AM- 12:00 PM, Friday, April 25, 2025, at Holmes Hill Church of Christ: 10061 Old State Road 56, Aurora, IN 47001. Services will immediately follow at 12:00 PM with Tommy Johnson officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Sinai Cemetery. Memorials may be given in honor of Anna to Holmes Hill Church of Christ
