It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of a truly beautiful soul, Miss Emily Elizabeth Proctor. A kind girl with a heart as gentle as a breeze and a determined spirit, she had a deep love for nature that reflected the peace within her. She walked through life quietly but left footprints of grace and compassion wherever she went. Emily was born on May 7, 1998 in Madison, Indiana to Michael Lynn Proctor and Karissa Gail Kietzman. Emily was a proud 2019 graduate of Madison Consolidated High School and also attended at Southwestern Schools. In high school, she could often be found skateboarding with friends and music playing in her ears. Emily appreciated all genres and used music as a way to connect, unwind, and reflect. During her time working at Amazon in Jeffersonville, Indiana, for five years, Emily distinguished herself through her unwavering dedication and exceptional work ethic. She was honored with several awards recognizing her excellence and contributions to the team. Outside of work, Emily loved spending time with her family. She especially cherished her time spent with her nieces and nephews, taking them on adventures and creating memories filled with laughter and love. She had a way of making each of them feel special, and her playful, caring nature left a lasting impact on their hearts. Emily was a true explorer at heart. She loved attending festivals, discovering new places, and soaking in all that the world had to offer. An artist in her own right, she found joy in drawing and expressing herself creatively. Nature was her comfort and her joy, and in many ways, she embodied its calm and quiet beauty. Sunflowers were her favorite. Much like them, she turned quietly toward the light and brought brightness to those around her, even on the darkest days. Though her time here was far too short, her spirit remains – in golden fields of sunflowers, in the stillness of the woods, in the warmth of the sun on your face. She will be deeply missed, forever cherished, and always remembered. Emily was found deceased at 1:00 p.m., Thursday, April 17, 2025, at the intersection of KY-36 and Hampton Lane in Carroll County, Kentucky.
