Randall Dwayne Prince, 62, Brookville

Randall Dwayne Prince gained his wings on April 19, 2025. He was born to Melvin Sr. and Edna (Brown) Prince on July 24, 1962.

Randall lived most of his life in Ross, Ohio graduating from Fair Acres School and then going on to the Butler County Developmental Disabilities Work Shop that he enjoyed so much.

Randall moved to Brookville, Indiana with his sister and brother-in-law in 2013. There he continued to enjoy life in the country and loved going places especially to church where he had lots of friends and loved everyone. Randall was very patriotic and loved the American flag. As a small child he had one in his hand at all times. To know Randy was to love him. He was a gentle, kind, loving soul that God made extra special.

Randy will be deeply missed by his brother, Mike (Jay) Prince; niece, Alena (Patrick) Hendrix; nephew, Danny (Tracie) Cross; along with great and great-great nieces and nephews that he loved being around. He is also survived by a bonus buddy, Loyd Morgan Jr, who has been there by his side for 3.5 years. Through good and bad Loyd was there encouraging him with such patience, love and understanding. He is also survived by his bonus niece, Shirley Steele, who was always there to help spoil him in ways he deserved especially those milkshakes.

Randall was preceded in death by his father, Melvin Sr.; mother, Edna; sister, Mavis Cross; brothers: Melvin Prince Jr. and Kelvin Prince; along with grandparents, aunts, and uncles.

He loved everyone and everyone loved him. Special thanks to Susie Hicks, Vickie Mofield, Mandy Collins, Dorothy Quinn – thank you for going above and beyond but mostly for your love.

The family sends a special thank you to the Waters of Batesville. Thank you for caring for him these last few months. Our family will be forever grateful to the ones who truly loved him through it.

Visitation for family and friends will be held on Thursday, April 24, 2025 from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm. A funeral service will follow at 1:00 pm with Chuck Metcalf officiating all at Galilean Baptist Church in Centerville. Burial will follow at Abington Cemetery in Abington. Everyone is welcome to dress in patriotic colors or bring an American flag for our final goodbyes.
