North Decatur crushed South Decatur 25-0 in junior high baseball last evening. The visiting Chargers erupted for 12 runs in the top of the 2nd and added eight more an inning later. North Decatur banged out 16 hits.

The Reds grounded the Baltimore Orioles 8-3 in the opener of their three-game series at Camden Yards as heard last night on WRBI. Elly De La Cruz and Matt McLain both clubbed three-run homers while Jeimar Candelario added a solo long ball. Andrew Abbott gave up 1 run on 2 hits, struck out 11 and walked 1 over 6 innings to notch the win. His record goes to 2-0. Game two of the series is this afternoon. Hunter Greene starts for Cincinnati, while Brandon Young makes his big league debut for Baltimore. Coverage on 103.9 FM begins after Pacers playoff basketball.

The Reds placed lefthanded pitcher Nick Lodolo on the Paternity List on Friday, and called up righthander Carson Spiers from Triple-A Louisville. Spiers will start for the Reds in the series wrap up tomorrow. Airtime is 1:05 on the Sports Voice.
