
(Sunman, IN) – A Sunman man was arrested in connection with a burglary last weekend at an auto repair shop.
Ripley County Sheriff Rob Bradley says deputies responded to an alarm early Sunday morning at Sunman Auto Care at 201 North Meridian Street.
Deputies arrived at the scene within 11 minutes and discovered the shop’s front door glass had been broken (pictured).
They quickly collected evidence and identified a suspect whom Deputy Justin Linkel encountered the day before.
Deputies began a search nearby for the suspect and arrested 21-year-old Dakota Myers.
He was booked into the Ripley County Jail on preliminary charges of Burglary, Unlawful Entry of a Motor Vehicle and Possession of Marijuana.
The Ripley County Sheriff’s Office received assistance from Marshal Bryan Maynard and the Sunman Police Department, Indiana State Police and Sunman Rescue 20.
