Myles Turner added 23 points and 10 boards. The Blue and Gold improve to 40-29 with the win. The Pacers and Nets meet again tomorrow evening in downtown Indianapolis.
In college basketball, the Purdue Boilermakers defeated High Point 75-63 in the first round of the NCAA Tournament Midwest Regional yesterday in Providence, Rhode Island. The fourth seeded Boilermakers face #12 seed McNeese in the second round tomorrow.
The Kansas City Royals came from behind to beat the Reds 11-8 in Cactus League baseball yesterday in Goodyear, Arizona. The Reds have split squad games against the Chicago White Sox this afternoon in Goodyear, and tonight versus the Seattle Mariners in Peoria.
Reds manager Terry Francona has named Carson Spiers the fifth starter in the pitching rotation while Andrew Abbott starts the season on the injured list. Abbott is recovering from a shoulder injury suffered last season.
The Reds have agreed to terms with catcher Jose Trevino on a new three-year contract through the 2027 season, with a club option for 2028. Trevino was acquired in a trade with the New York Yankees in December.
