With heavy hearts, we share the passing of Tammy Kolde, a loving wife, an incredible mom, a beautiful daughter, a cherished sister, a beloved “Mammy Tammy”, an accomplished scholar, and the kind of person who spoke her mind. Her life was cut short on March 8, 2025, leaving behind her family, who will miss her more than words can say.
For 27 years, Tammy and Deron built a life filled with love, laughter, and adventure. She loved him fiercely and never hesitated to let him-or anyone else-know exactly how she felt. They were true partners, tackling life’s ups and downs together and making the best memories along the way. Whether they were traveling, working on a project, or just sitting quietly together, she knew the best moments in life weren’t always grand-they were the ones spent with the people you love.
Her greatest pride and joy were her kids, Amanda, Kayla and Dylan. She didn’t just love them-she prepared them for life. She was their biggest cheerleader, but she also made sure they knew how to stand on their own two feet. She taught them to be strong, kind, and to never waste time on nonsense.
Tammy also had a deep fondness for Dylan’s girlfriend, Emma. She welcomed her with open arms and truly saw her as part of the family. She admired Emma’s kindness, loved seeing her and Dylan together, and always appreciated the happiness she brought into their lives.
She was also an accomplished Paralegal, earning her degree and graduating Magna cum laude from Mount Saint Joseph University. She worked hard for her education and took pride in her achievements, always striving to learn and grow. She believed in the power of knowledge and led by example, showing her children the importance of dedication and perseverance.
Tammy had an adventurous side, always up for a road trip, a new experience. She didn’t sugarcoat things, but her honesty was one of the things people loved most about her. If you needed the truth, Tammy was the one to give it to you-straightforward but always with love.
She is survived by her husband, Deron; her children, Kayla and Dylan Kolde; her stepdaughter Amanda (Nick Ratcliff); her stepgrandchildren Issac and Colton Ratcliff; her brother Jason Sicking and sister Amanda Sicking; and so many family members and friends, who were lucky to know and love her. Tammy was preceded in death by her parents, James and Sandra Sicking.
A celebration of Tammy’s life will be held on Saturday, March 15, 2025, at Andres-Wuestefeld Funeral Home 25615 State Route 1 Guilford IN 47022. Visitation 11:00-1200. In her honor, be bold, take the trip, speak your mind, and love your people fiercely-because that’s precisely what Tammy would do. Go Blue!
Tammy, you were one of a kind, and we wouldn’t have wanted you any other way.
