(Batesville, IN) – Beta Sigma Phi sorority’s Batesville chapter continued the tradition of presenting a set of Dr. Seuss books to any family whose baby was born at Margaret Mary Health (MMH) on March 2.
The late Theodor Seuss Geisel, who wrote and illustrated books under the pen name “Dr. Seuss,” was born on March 2, 1904.
A girl, Marah, was the only March 2 baby born this year at MMH.
Her proud parents are Andrew and Grace Meyer of Brookville.
Sorority members say the idea behind this annual outreach is to spread the joy of reading and instill lifelong learning in children.
