Terry Lee Rutledge, 71, of Lawrenceburg, IN, passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 1, 2025, in Lawrenceburg, IN.
Born on August 21, 1953, in Jonesville, VA, Terry was the son of the late Edward Bates Rutledge and Bertha (Roberts) Rutledge. He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Julie (Donnie) Mitchell.
Terry worked as a laborer for Greendale Cemetery and a local carwash. He took great pride in his work and was a reliable and dedicated employee. In his free time, Terry enjoyed fishing, playing guitar, and listening to bluegrass music. He also loved watching John Wayne movies and other westerns, as well as playing BINGO. He found joy in taking care of his chickens and roosters and cherished the time spent with his family.
Terry was a loving brother, uncle, and friend. He is survived by his siblings, Dedra Rutledge, Cecil Rutledge, Patsy (Dennis) Neace, Donnie (Mary Beth) Rutledge, Rebecca (Bobby) Fleek, Chasity (Donald) Snyder, and Michael Rutledge; his nieces and nephews, Elizabeth Craig, Kimberly Rutledge, Ashlee Rutledge, David Fleek, Kevin Fleek, Katie Fleek, Brittany Moritz, Mickayla Bernius, Grant Ashcraft, Morgan Rutledge, Kourtney Rutledge, Lane Klump, Dakota Rutledge, and Dalton Lageman; and many great nieces and nephews who will miss him dearly.
Terry’s family was always his priority, and his love and devotion to them will never be forgotten. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
A Celebration of Life will be held at the convenience of the family. Terry will be laid to rest at McConnells Chapel in Jonesville, VA, at a later date.
