Don Derenski, age 87 of Cedar Grove

Donald M. Derenski, Sr., of Cedar Grove, was born on October 22, 1937, in Hamilton, Ohio a son to Henry and Bertha Ratliff Derenski.  He graduated from Whitewater High School in 1955 and later married Truie Mae Goodman in 1957.  Don was a machinist for 45 years at Dresser Roots Blower.  He enjoyed gun collecting and trading.  Don also loved to take care of his farm and thoroughly enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. On Thursday, February 27, 2025 at the age of 87, Don passed away at Envive of Brookville.

Those surviving who will cherish Don’s memory include his four sons, Daniel (Lori) Derenski, David (Krissy) Derenski, J. Scott Derenski, and J. Michael Derenski; 11 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren; one brother, Henry Derenski; two sisters Debbie Baker and Patty King, as well as several nieces and nephews.  Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Truie and one son, Donald Derenski Jr.

Friends may gather and remember Don on Tuesday, March 4 from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. at Cook Rosenberger Funeral Home, 929 Main Street, Brookville.  Don’s grandson, Pastor Nathan Derenski, will officiate the service at 1 p.m. and burial will follow in Mt. Carmel Cemetery.
