Mrs. Anna Anita (Ford) York

Mrs. Anna Anita (Ford) York, age 62, of Florence, Indiana, entered this life on January 28, 1963 in Naples, Florida to the late Marvin Wayne and Mae Marie (Summeralls) Ford. She was raised in Labelle, Florida. Anna was united in marriage on December 24, 1977 to Michael Lee York, Sr. in Sebring, Florida. This union was blessed with five children, David, Kelly, Michael, Jessica and Mickey. They shared nearly 44 years of marriage together until his passing on July 15, 2021. Anna owned and operated with her family, York Racing Stables from 1977-2018. Anna loved horses and spent all of her life training them. Anna worked with race horses in Kentucky, Ohio, Florida, West Virginia and Indiana. Anna also enjoyed crafting, reading, and watching Little House on the Prairie and the Walking Dead. She loved bird watching and feeding the birds, especially when it came to hummingbirds. Anna passed on Saturday, February 22, 2025 at her residence in Florence, Indiana.

Anna will be missed by her children, David Ford of Chillicothe, OH, Kelly Huff and her companion, Bobby of Shepherdsville, KY, Michael Lee York, Jr. and his wife, Amy of Piqua, OH, Jessica York of Erlanger, KY, and Mickey York of Florence, IN; her grandchildren, Gaige and his wife, Chelsea, Dakota, Clayton and his wife, Alyssa, Erianna, Lilly, Annie, Leah, Liam, Avery, Kayla and Katie; her great-grandchildren, Greyson and Aliyah; her sister, Donna Jones and her husband, Victor of Mineola, TX; her brother, Thomas Ford of Mineola, TX and her several nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles.

Anna was preceded in death by her parents, Marvin Wayne and Mae Marie (Summeralls) Ford; her husband, Michael Lee York, Sr., died July 15, 2021; her son-in-law, Franklin Huff, died November 21, 2021; her infant brothers, Tony and David Ford; her sister, Peggy Ford and her brother, Kirby Ford.
