Class 4A #4 Greenfield-Central rolled over East Central 83-45  in boys basketball heard last night on the Sports Voice. Most of the second half was played under a running clock. UConn signee and Mr. Basketball frontrunner Braylon Mullins led the 19-3 Cougars with a game-high 26 points. Three others also scored in double figures for Greenfield-Central. The Trojans were led by Eli Sehlhorst with 16; Cole Reynolds added 12 points and Joel Richter had 11. EC falls to 7-13 on the season.

Elsewhere, Batesville dumped South Decatur 76-42; South Ripley got back in the win column at Rising Sun, 88-45; Class 1A #3 Hauser crushed Milan 80-31; Switzerland County nipped Jac-Cen-Del 53-51; Southwestern (Shelby) edged North Decatur 57-51, and it was Rushville over Oldenburg Academy 45-39.

The lone boys hoops game on the Saturday schedule has Milan heading west to Jac-Cen-Del.

The IHSAA boys basketball sectional pairings will be announced tomorrow evening. WRBI coverage from the IHSAA Champions Radio Network begins at 6 p.m.

It is girls semi-state Saturday and we have a pair of games for you on the Sports Voice. South Decatur goes up against second-ranked Borden in Class 1A action at Shelbyville. Coverage begins this morning at 9:30 on 103.9 FM and the WRBI app. That game will be followed by 25-0 and top-ranked Greensburg against #4 Evansville Central at the 3A semi-state in New Albany. Semi-state championship games will be played tonight at 8:00.

The Reds open Arizona Cactus League play with a pair of split squad games this afternoon: Hunter Greene gets the start against Cleveland in Goodyear, while Graham Ashcraft goes for Cincinnati against Milwaukee in Phoenix.

In a pair of roster moves, the Bengals made their first salary cap cut of the 2025 offseason when they parted ways with defensive tackle Sheldon Rankins after just one season in stripes. Cincinnati also signed long snapper Cal Adomitis to a one-year contract extension.

The Colts have finalized Lou Anarumo’s defensive staff. The team added James Bettcher as their linebackers coach, Jerome Henderson as defensive backs coach and Chris Hewitt as secondary coach and passing game coordinator. Bettcher was most recently the Bengals linebackers coach, and worked with Anarumo in Cincinnati.

In college basketball, #13 Purdue and Indiana square off tomorrow in Bloomington. The Boilermakers topped the Hoosiers in West Lafayette three weeks ago, but since then Purdue has lost three straight. IU has dropped three of its last four since losing to the Boilers. Tipoff tomorrow is at 1:30 p.m.

The Pacers homestand continues tomorrow evening when they face the Los Angeles Clippers. Tipoff is at 5.
