The Columbus North Girls Swim Sectional Finals on Saturday afternoon saw several Southeastern Indiana schools set new school records, with Milan’s Lady Indians making a strong showing and taking 8th place out of 15 teams.
A standout moment for Milan came when their 200 Freestyle Relay team broke an all-time school record from 1993 with a time of 1:51.11. The relay team, consisting of sophomore Kaitlynn Hicks and freshmen Kayleigh McIntosh, Lainey Stock, and Ashlynn DeWire, delivered an impressive performance.
Bloomington South claimed the sectional championship, with East Central finishing as runner-up. Greensburg came in 6th, followed by Milan in 8th, Batesville in 9th, Oldenburg in 11th, and South Ripley in 12th.
