(Butlerville, IN) – A man who was wanted on felony warrants out of Ripley and Jennings counties held police at bay Thursday afternoon.
The Jennings County Sheriff’s Office says the incident started around 1 p.m. when deputies went to a home in Butlerville looking for Jason Daugherty.
Deputies say Daugherty refused to come to the door of the residence and a standoff that lasted two hours began.
The Jennings County SWAT team eventually entered the home and took Daugherty into custody.
In addition to the Ripley and Jennings County warrants, he’s facing a new charge of resisting law enforcement.
Deputies received assistance at the scene from Indiana State Police troopers and Indiana Conservation Officers.
