South Dearborn topped East Central 61-51 in boys basketball last night on WRBI. The Knights Tyler Christian led all scorers with 20 points while teammate Scout Gray added 16. Joel Richter led the Trojans with 14 points, followed by Liam Rogers with 13 and Peyton Hofer with 12. EC hit 13 three-pointers while SD had nine from beyond the arc. South Dearborn improves to 9-5 overall and 3-1 in the EIAC; East Central falls to 2-9 and 1-1.

According to multiple media reports, Notre Dame defensive coordinator Al Golden is returning to the Bengals in the same role. Golden was Bengals head coach Zac Taylor’s linebackers coach in 2020 and 2021, and helped the team get to Super Bowl LVI. He leaves Marcus Freeman’s staff at Notre Dame a few days after the Fighting Irish fell to Ohio State in the college football national championship game.
