Gene Pennington, age 82, of Harrison, Ohio, passed away on Sunday, January 12, 2025, in Harrison, Ohio surrounded by his loving family. He was born the son of Elmer and Zola (Feltner) Pennington on July 26, 1942, in Hamilton, Ohio.
A 1959 graduate of Bright High School, Gene married Della Hall on July 1, 1964, in West Harrison, Indiana. He was a foreman for Campbell Hausfeld for many years and was a member of the Sons of American Legion and the VFW Booster Club in Harrison, Ohio.
Gene is survived by his loving wife, Della Pennington, sons, Russell (Deborah) Pennington and Scott (Trish) Pennington, four grandchildren, Chelsea (Cesar) Gonzalez, Alexandra Billingsley, Courtney (Cassandra) Pennington, and three great-grandchildren, Tristan, Donovan, and Dillon.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Elmer and Zola Pennington, sister, Donna Hoffman, and grandson, Gerrit McDermott.
A visitation will be held on Friday, January 17, 2025, from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 18, 2025, at 11:00 a.m., with Tom Gillespie officiating, all at Jackman Hensley Funeral Home, 215 East Broadway Street, Harrison, Ohio 45030. A burial will follow at Glen Haven Cemetery in Harrison, Ohio.
