Iretta Michael passed away at Mercy West Hospital in Cincinnati, Ohio on January 4, 2025. Born in Kentucky, raised in Ohio, and moved to Indiana where she lived in Versailles, and enjoyed spending as much time as possible with family, she was passionate about reading and studying her Bible and loved sharing with the family the guiding principles and truths taught within the pages. She loved to have flowers growing around her house and would plant many beds and potted plants around her home and spend time in the morning and evenings caring for them. Along with time spent with family, she loved to travel with her husband of 59 years and take photos of their trips and sights seen along the way. As part of her testimony left among her survivors, she would live out being a sojourner, living by faith, knowing well this earthly life was but a temporary home, a steppingstone, looking for a city which has foundations, whose builder and maker is God.
Funeral services will be held at Meyers Funeral Home in Batesville, Indiana on Friday, January 10, 2025, from 11:00 pm to 1:00 pm. Services will be performed by Pastor Brad Enevoldsen. Private burial will follow at Shelby Christian Cemetery.
