Batesville Wrestling Team Competes at East Central

The Batesville High School Wrestling team traveled to East Central to compete against five other schools in a highly competitive day. Despite showing great effort and improvement, the Bulldogs finished with a 2-3 record as a team. However, three individual wrestlers remained unbeaten throughout the day.

Batesville opened the day with a tough 60-23 loss to defending Regional Champs East Central. Pins were earned by:

Additionally, Damien Dance (165) scored a dominant 20-2 Tech Fall in his match.

In the second round, the Bulldogs faced Rushville for the third consecutive week, falling 57-24. Pins came from:

The third round was a competitive dual against Southwestern, where Batesville lost 42-36. Pinfall victories were earned by:

Batesville bounced back in round four with a 45-27 win over Lawrenceburg, avenging an earlier loss. Pins were scored by:

Kaden Lamping (126) and Isaac Enneking received forfeits, while Liam Stutz scored a 16-1 Tech Fall and Carson Weiler won 14-4 for a Major Decision while moving up to the 113 weight class.

In the final round, Batesville dominated with a 72-5 win over Cambridge City Lincoln. Pins came from:

With the 2-3 performance, the Bulldogs’ season record moved to 7-10. Batesville will continue their season at the Spartan Classic in Connerville on December 27th and 28th.
