The St. Louis 8th Grade Boys Basketball team improved to 11-1 on the season with a hard-fought 46-34 win over South Ripley.
The Cardinals came out strong with a 12-4 run, but South Ripley narrowed the gap to 12-11 by the end of the first quarter. The second quarter saw South Ripley sink four three-pointers to take a 29-23 lead into halftime.
After the break, the Cardinals responded with a fierce 10-2 run to reclaim the lead, 33-31, by the end of the third. The final quarter showcased the Cardinals’ relentless defense, allowing South Ripley to score only five points in the entire second half.
