The Batesville Middle School 8th grade boys basketball team delivered their highest-scoring performance of the season Tuesday night, overpowering South Dearborn in a 50-19 home victory.
The Bulldogs came out strong with a 16-4 opening run and solidified their dominance with a 21-7 surge to start the second half, putting the game out of reach early.
Deacon Fledderman led all scorers with 11 points, including three three-pointers. Isaiah Martin, RJ Schuerman, and Hank Bohman each contributed eight points, while Jax Negovetich, Isaac Deputy, and Beckett Jones added four apiece. Trenton Taylor rounded out the scoring with three points. The Bulldogs connected on seven three-pointers in the game.
With the win, Batesville improves to 13-3 on the season. They’ll wrap up the 2024 portion of their schedule Thursday night with a matchup against the Milan Indians.
