Alice Faye Nelson

Alice Faye Nelson, 80, of Dillsboro, IN, passed away on Sunday, December 15, 2024, in Cincinnati, OH.

She was born on August 27, 1944, in Cincinnati, OH, the daughter of the late Arnold Brewer and Dovie (Perry) Brewer.
She worked as a Nurses Aide at Woodland Hills, retiring after many years of dedicated service. Alice was a member of the Cedars of Lebanon.

Alice had a variety of interests, including crocheting, watching TV shows like Days of Our Lives and Joyce Meyers, and especially enjoying police shows such as CSI. However, her family was the most special part of her life, and she cherished the time spent with her grandchildren.

Alice is survived by her five children, Jack Dragoo of Louisville, K.Y., Randall Dragoo of Aurora, IN, Penny Dragoo of Dillsboro, IN, Alice Dragoo of Versailles, IN, and Irene Thielmann of Napoleon, IN; siblings, Cecil (Mary) Brewer of Cincinnati, OH, Mattie (Chuck) Hudson of Florence, KY, Daniel Brewer of Louisville, KY, and Roger Brewer of Cincinnati, OH; eleven grandchildren, Cory (Sarah) Hyatt, Justin Hyatt, Logan (Kortney) Hyatt, John Tice, Eric Upton, Stephanie Upton, Katrina Palmer, Austin Thielmann, Nathan (Melissa) Thielmann, Kevin Thielmann, and Nicole Thielmann; and seven great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her father, Arnold Brewer; mother, Dovie Brewer; husband, Howard Wayne Nelson; siblings, Darlene Logan, Ramona McElfresh, and Linda Mullins; and grandchild, Zachery Cleary.

Friends and family will be received at the Rullman Hunger Funeral Home 219 Mechanic Street Aurora, Indiana on Friday from 11:00 A.M. until time of funeral service at 1:00 P.M. with Jeff Muncy officiating.

Interment will follow in the Oakdale Cemetery, Dillsboro, IN.
