Michael Dale Hamer, 46 of Greensburg passed away on December 7, 2024. He was born on January 22, 1978 in Greensburg the son of Dale and Linda Collingsworth Hamer. Michael was a 1996 graduate of Greensburg High School. He was baptized on November 15, 1987 and was a member of Hilltop Baptist Church where he loved helping with Bible School and participated in the church choir. He loved music, singing, and going camping. He was a part of the Silhouettes and Shadows, band, and the drum line; even creating a band with friends that went by “Change of Plans”.
Survivors include: children, Logan, Tristen and Niles Hamer, Liam Powers, and Shaley Courtney; mother Linda (Ronnie) Lohrum; siblings, Elrod Lohrum and Rhonda (Jason) Vawter; nieces and nephews, Shayne and Aaron Griewe and Brooklynn and Emberlynn Lohrum. He was preceded in death by: father, Dale Hamer; paternal grandparents, Robert and Hilda Hamer; maternal grandparent, Martha Carter; and uncle, Dennis William Phillips.
A visitation for family and friends will be held at the Gilliland-Howe Funeral Home on Thursday, December 12, 2024 from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm. Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 13, 2024 at 11:00 am. Pastor Carter Corbrey will be officiating. Burial will follow at South Park Cemetery.
