SRHS Swimmers Shine in Season Opener

South Ripley High School swimmers traveled to South Dearborn on Tuesday for their first meet of the season, competing alongside Rising Sun. The meet marked the first event for the SRHS boys’ team.

Highlights:

  • 200 IM Medley Relay
    • Girls: Lydia Sons, Aubrey Henry, Elizabeth McKittrick, and Jocelynn Goddard shaved 7.5 seconds off their best time.
    • Boys: Landon Saylor, Brady Begley, Thomas Eaglin, and Jordan Davis secured 1st place with a time of 2:05.23.
  • 200 Free
    • Elizabeth McKittrick placed 1st with a time of 2:13.84.
    • Thomas Eaglin finished 2nd at 2:21.54.
  • 50 Free
    • Aubrey Henry earned 2nd with a personal record (PR) of 31.42.
    • Landon Saylor claimed 1st at 25.94, and Jordan Davis followed in 2nd at 29.15.
  • 100 Free
    • Elizabeth McKittrick won 1st at 59.00.
    • Brady Begley took 1st with a PR of 1:02.37, while Thomas Eaglin finished 2nd at 1:04.78.
  • 200 Free Relay
    • The team of Brady Begley, Jordan Davis, Thomas Eaglin, and Landon Saylor placed 1st with a time of 1:53.44.
  • 100 Back
    • Jocelynn Goddard finished 3rd at 2:50.06.
    • Jordan Davis took 1st with a 10-second PR, clocking in at 1:17.32.
  • 100 Breast
    • Brady Begley secured 1st at 1:13.54, while Landon Saylor placed 3rd with a PR of 1:26.73.

Team Results:
Both South Ripley teams placed 2nd overall, and the combined team also secured 2nd place.
