Batesville swept Connersville in boys middle school basketball last night. It was the Bulldog 8th graders over the Spartans 43-20. BMS took the 7th grade contest 41-12.

St. Louis split with South Dearborn. The Cardinals won the 8th grade tilt 44-30. The Squires came out on top in the 7th grade game 38-27.

St. Louis 5th grade boys basketball won at Laurel 50-19. The Yellowjackets took the 6th grade contest 40-18.

We have boys high school basketball on WRBI tonight, when Lawrenceburg visits Franklin County. Coverage begins around 7:15 on 103.9 FM, wrbiradio.com and the WRBI app…In the only other boys game on the local schedule tonight, Oldenburg Academy welcomes Morristown to the Feldhaus.

Coming up tonight in girls hoops, East Central hosts Jennings County…South Decatur is at Jac-Cen-Del…South Ripley visits Class 1A #13 North Decatur…and Milan is home against Switzerland County.

The Pacers take on the Raptors in NBA Cup play tonight. Tipoff in Toronto is at 7:30.

Purdue moves up five spots to #8 in this week’s AP Top 25 College Basketball rankings. UC is up two spots at #14. Kansas remains#1, followed by Auburn and Tennessee at 2 and 3, respectively. Kentucky is now at #4, and Marquette moves into the 5th slot.

The Bengals waived wide receiver Trenton Irwin yesterday and signed linebacker Shaka Hayward off the practice squad and onto the active roster. Irwin, a fifth-year player, played in seven games – including two starts – for the Bengals this season.

And it was the Denver Broncos over the Cleveland Browns 41-32 last night on Monday Night Football.
