The St. Louis Cardinals hosted St. Lawrence Monday evening for their second matchup of the season and came away with a solid 40-25 victory, improving their record to 5-1.
The Cardinals came out strong, posting nine points in the first quarter and adding 10 more in the second. Meanwhile, a tough defensive effort held St. Lawrence to just eight points in the first half.
In the third quarter, the Cardinals extended their lead, scoring another 10 points while limiting St. Lawrence to five. The fourth quarter saw both teams match each other with 11 points, but the Cardinals’ early lead ensured the win.
