Tyler Darringer

Tyler Bruce Darringer, 17 years old of Sunman, IN, passed away from complications of cancer on November 16, 2024. From the time Tyler was born he was always on the move, starting with his Jeff Gordon Power Wheels. By the age of 11 he had his first dirt bike that he spent countless hours riding around on his property. He loved going to the Lawrenceburg Speedway, watching motocross, and racing go-karts which fed his need for speed. But he also enjoyed the slower pace of life like fishing, watching football, camping, and hanging out with family and friends. A senior at East Central High School, Tyler was studying welding at the Southeastern Career Center. He enjoyed his work at Higher Ground Conference & Retreat Center. A very laid-back kind of guy, Tyler was quiet and shied away from being the center of attention. He was a loyal friend, a kind person, and a dependable teenager. His family wants everyone to remember, life is short, we blinked and it was over, so make each day amazing.

Tyler will be deeply missed by his parents Alex and Erin (Fury) Darringer; sister Alayna; grandparents Ed Darringer, Paula Steffey, and Barry & Pam Fury; aunts and uncles Jim (Paula) Darringer, Rob (Stephanie) Darringer, Eric Darringer, and Jason (Brandy) Fury; many cousins and many friends. He is preceded in death by great grandparents Ron and Shirley Fury, Gil & Evelyn Behlmer, Mervin and Mary Luhring, Joe Darringer, and Margaret Darringer; cousin Jason Ronald Fury.

Services for Tyler will be held on Thursday, November 21 at Bright Christian Church. Visitation will begin at 1:00pm and continue until the time of the funeral service at 4:00pm. A private burial service will be held at a later date. Memorials can be made to Higher Ground Conference and Retreat Center and will be accepted during the visitation or can be mailed to the funeral home.
