Eric Wayne Dwenger, 36, of Madison passed away on Friday, October 18, 2024 at his residence. He was born on August 19, 1988 in Batesville, Indiana as the son of Wayne and Carla (Simmermeyer) Dwenger.
Eric graduated Batesville High School in 2008. He then went on to further his education at the University of Northwestern Ohio where he earned a degree in Diesel and Automotive. He worked at Classic Express as a driver as well as a mechanic. He was most recently employed at the Indiana Department of Transportation in Madison.
He was a man of few words, was a little rough on the exterior but on the inside he was a big teddy bear and softy. He loved fishing, hunting, camping and RC cars but most of all he loved and cherished his family and friends. He would do anything for anybody. He had a wife, children, and step-children that he absolutely adored and loved spending time with.
Eric is survived by his wife, Brandi; children: Chessie and Autumn Dwenger; step-children: Amos and Shelby Combest; parents: Wayne and Carla Dwenger; brother, Lee (Julia) Dwenger; sister, Amanda Dwenger; niece, Charlee Dwenger; nephews: Oliver and Harley Dwenger; grandmother, Edith Simmermeyer.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents: Donald and Francis Dwenger; grandfather, Raymond Simmermeyer; and step-grandmother, Jeanne Dwenger.
Visitation for family and friends will be held on Wednesday, October 23, 2024 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Meyers Funeral Home in Batesville.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the family to help establish a trust fund for the children and assist with funeral expenses. Your generosity will provide ongoing support during this difficult time.
Please feel free to leave a memory or message of comfort for Eric’s family in the online guestbook.
