(West Harrison, IN) – The Dearborn County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of a structure fire at 344 Pinhook Road in West Harrison around 12:09 a.m. Saturday.
Deputies arriving on the scene discovered the residence was fully engulfed in flames.
A body was later found inside the home. The unidentified victim is believed to be the lone resident but investigators are unable to confirm that at this time.
The State Fire Marshal was called to assist with the investigation along with the Dearborn County Coroner’s Office.
Indiana State Police troopers were also on the scene.
Several area fire departments were dispatched to the scene and extinguished the fire.
