In Class 3A volleyball sectional action heard last night on WRBI, Greensburg topped South Dearborn, three sets to one. Scores were 16-25, 25-11, 25-22, 25-12. The Pirates are now 23-6 while the Knights finish at 15-14. Greensburg takes on Jennings County in the semifinals tomorrow morning….Batesville knocked off Franklin County, 25-12, 25-12, 25-14. The Bulldogs move to 26-4; the Wildcats end their season at 5-26. Batesville plays host Lawrenceburg in the other semi tomorrow.

In Class 1A at North Decatur, the host Chargers eliminated Waldron in three sets – 25-10, 25-19, 25-3…South Decatur dumped Southwestern (Shelby),   25-15, 25-16, 25-13. The Chargers and Cougars meet in the semis tomorrow morning at 11:30. And it was Milan over Jac-Cen-Del in three sets at the 1A Trinity Lutheran sectional. The scores were 25-17, 25-11, 25-15. The Indians play Rising Sun in tomorrow’s semifinals.

Oldenburg Academy beat Shawe Memorial 3-1 in boys soccer regional semifinal action at the Graveyard. The Twisters play Greenwood Christian in the regional championship at Knightstown tomorrow afternoon.

It’s the ninth and final week of the high school football season. East Central and Roncalli renew their rivalry tonight at Trojan Field in St. Leon. Coverage on 103.9 FM and the WRBI app starts at 7:10. Rob Moorhead and Steve Giesting will have the call…Batesville hosts Connersville for Senior Night at the Dawg Pound. Terrance Arney and Tom Snape will call it on the WRBI app starting with pregame at 6:45….Elsewhere, Franklin County travels to Bluffton, Greensburg heads up State Road 3 to Rushville, Milan entertains Madison, North Decatur hosts Switzerland County, South Decatur is home against Irvington Prep, and Lawrenceburg is at South Dearborn.

The Los Angeles Dodgers rolled over the New York Mets 10-2 in Game 4 of the National League Championship Series. The Dodgers take a three games to one lead into this afternoon’s Game 5 in Queens…And Cleveland rallied to beat the New York Yankees 7-5 in Game 3 of the American League Championship Series. The Yankees lead two games to one. Game 4 is tonight in Cleveland.
