Janice M. Bipes, 86, of Lawrenceburg, IN, passed away Wednesday, October 9, 2024.
She was born August 4, 1938, in Allen County, Indiana, daughter of the late Arthur Doctor and Elma (Blakey) Doctor.
Janice was employed with Byron Jackson, and Fernald. She also worked as Dearborn County Hospital Administrative Assistant and Medical Staff Secretary for over 21 years.
She was a member of the Hebron Lutheran Church, and a former member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Greendale, Indiana. She was a very active member at Bethlehem, singing in the choir and as chairman of the Altar Committee. Janice was a past board member of the United Fund and was on the RSVP original board.
She was very active with Thrivent Financial for Lutherans, having served as secretary and treasurer. Janice was well known for the infectious smile that was always on her face. She loved time with her family and she will be greatly missed.
Janice is survived by her loving spouse, Roger Bipes, sons, Timothy (Linda) Bipes of Madison, IN, Thomas (Kris) Bipes of Greendale, IN; daughter, Trisha (Donald) Vulgamore of Springboro, OH; brother, Roger (Carol) Doctor of Muncie, IN; grandchildren, Angie Imel, Deron (Samantha) Boggs, Kyle (Jessica) Bipes, Elizabeth (CJ) Anderson, Rachel (Alec) Bryant, Kristen Vulgamore, Olivia Lamb, Abbey (Logan) Shelton, Alex (Elizabeth) Gilb; and 13 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Elma Doctor; brother, James (Dorothy) Doctor; granddaughter, Jessica Vulgamore.
Friends will be received Saturday, October 12, 2024, 10:00 am – 11:00 am at the Firmly Rooted Ministries, 495 Ludlow Ave, Greendale, Indiana.
Services will be held at the Church, at 11:00 am with Pastor Tom Donnelly officiating.
Interment will follow in the Greendale Cemetery, Greendale, IN.
