The Reds outlasted the Chicago Cubs 3-0 in 10 innings in the season finale for both teams yesterday at Wrigley Field. It was a scoreless game after nine innings until the Reds plated all three runs in the top of the 10th, highlighted by Elly De La Cruz’s two-run triple to break the ice. Tony Santillan got the win and Buck Farmer notched the save. Cincinnati finishes the 2024 season with a record of 77-85.

In the NFL, the Bengals topped the Carolina Panthers 34-24 in Charlotte. Cincinnati wins for the first time this season and is now 1-3. Joe Burrow threw for 232 yards and two touchdowns. The Colts held off the Pittsburgh Steelers 27-24 at Lucas Oil Stadium. Joe Flacco threw for 168 yards and two touchdowns in relief of Anthony Richardson, who suffered a hip injury in the first half. Indianapolis improves to 2-2.
