On a brisk Saturday morning the Lady Chargers traveled to East Central High School to compete in an 8 team Invite and finished with a 4th place finish. Many runners had outstanding performances setting PR’s and season best times. Leading the way for North with a 13th place finish was Dorothy Robbins (25:04), Norah Amberger (25:37) in 17th and Ava Lecher (25:49 season best time) finishing in 19th place. Freshmen Brooklyn White (27:10 a new PR) and Jessie Biltz (27:46 new PR) continued to show their improvement setting new PR’s in their young careers. Olivia Reisman (27:52 season best time), Jewel Verseman (28:20), Emerson Gunn (28:20) all ran great races for the Lady Chargers as did Lauren Miller (29:51) and Cecilian Barber (35:02).
The Chargers return to action on Tuesday hosting rival South Decatur at North Branch Golf Course in the annual Pheidippides Cup with a 5:30 start time. North Decatur will also recognize their lone Senior, Cecilia Barber at the conclusion of the race for her 4 years of dedication to North Decatur Cross Country!
